Can't you just phone microsoft up and ask them to send you a business trial? Then simply once installed, validate it with your key?
It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.

Why not just make a copy and save the postage?

If they offer that service then Im happy to, I just presumed Microsoft was a bit like ebay, never any numbers to call and speak to a human!

Thanks, happy to, would even send back special delivery - a small price to pay for my PC headache!

    Probably won't work.

Vista RTM releases are different to Vista OEM releases; the product key will fail.

Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.

Call Microsoft Direct Services, they'll direct you to whoever you need to speak too. You'll probably end up speaking to someone in some Dutch speaking country as that's what normally happens. Here's the number: 0870 60 10 100

Actually there is a part of Microsoft in Ireland yes, but their support services and guarantees are all handled through Microsoft Direct Services including the distribution of Demo disks etc. At least it was this way upto around 8 months ago unless something has changed.

Still as long as the OP gets a disk, I'm sure he'll be happy :D
