DD for CC on payday

Hi,

I have just been accepted and received my Goldfish-cc (and 41 quid cash back via Quidco :T ).

I rang Goldfish yesterday to activate the card, and setup my DD for the full amount each month. I get paid on the 26th of each month, and would like to have my DD to go out shortly after my pay has gone in.

Now, Goldfish has set up for the DD to go out on the 26th (actual payday).
I was okay with it yesterday, but got me thinking now... is there ever a chance that the DD will be offered or tried to be taken out before my pay goes in on the 26th, hence incurring charges and so on...
Is it safer to have the DD taken out later (27th or later), or should I not be worried about this?

Thanks a lot!

depends who u bank with, with abbey ud get no charges, but for banks like natwest ud prolly get charged as they require the cleared funds in the day before.
  • With my CC, I keep the money for a month. Paid on 20th, pay CC on 19th
