Well done LP, does he want to pay off mine too?
Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
tee hee!
Well, I'm not sure about that... shall I ask him??
We start our savings plan in a couple of weeks... for a house... we're hoping to be in a position to buy somewhere at the end of the year!
It was best to get rid of the credit card whilst we had the money in savings so that we weren't paying anything extra in interest.
I saw a piggy bank in the market on the way to work. it was a pound and one that you had to break to get into. very cute. I didn't buy one, but thinking now that I might... to save my 20ps in!

Hello everyone
I have been here on the site for almost a year now and since I’ve been here, I have reclaimed some bank charges, met some brilliant, wonderful people and repaid approximately £5,000.
With the help of everyone here and the lovely Mr P, I have only one debt left which is owed to my folks for £1,250.00.
Mr P and I were going to save for a house this year, however there has been a slight change of plan..
After doing our budget for the next year, we realise that we are doing far too much fun stuff to save for a house. So for now, that will be next year’s project. (Definitely not the best time to buy anyway!)
Within the next year we will be going on lots of adventures, including:
Glastonbury Festival
Ibiza
Canada
New Zealand & Thailand (same trip)
So as you can see, lots of savings have to be made!
I’ll keep you updated on our progress!

Well, well! Hello there!
Thing are going really well... Mr P and I have made the big step of working out a budget together and opening a joint account which we both put all of our 'surplus' money in (after paying our own bills and allocated personal spending).
With this money we will be ableto go on 3 trips this year, pay for all nights out / events that may pop up AND start saving for that house!
By the end of the year, we'll be in a really strong position, savings wise for a healthy deposit!
Now all we have to do is stick to the budgets!!!!
yay!
