 Hi just need to post this and see what advice you guys would give me
hp,d a 52 inch tv from brighthouse where you pay weekly for the tv i did this for 3 years cost me just under 3000 for the tv and a few weeks before it was paid off my daughter threw a toy in a temper and cracked the screen.
Was paying for insurance for accidents and phoned them and they came and collected it straightaway and gave me a tv until mine was fixed.
This was 7 months ago and we kept calling everyother week to see what was happening and weve been told 3 times now that its fixed and ready to be deliverd only for it not to turn up on the day then upon going into the shop there saying oh no it carnt be fixed and we are looking for a new tv for you.
now there saying that if they carnt find the same tv i will be given a substitute so may not be what ive bought..
I belive there being like this because i am no longer a customer with them as after it had been with them 3 weeks my account was cleared and i was paid off..but they assured me that they would still fix it and get it back to me no problems.
7 long months is a long time to get a tv fixed or replaced in my opinion..
we went in on saturday saying they were taking the biscuit and i was just getting no where with them they said they carnt do anything about it until they can find one but it wont be a new one as apparently mine wasnt new it was refurbished !! unknown to me } so ive got to wait basically until a tv comes back what someone carnt afford i will also get no warranty etc on the tv as im now paid off and they carnt give me warranty with a 2nd hand tv..
Im sooo annoyed with them and i feel like theyre just fobbing me off each time im going in again tonight as when i was in at weekend they told me that they would call on wednesday at the latest and low and behold no phone call what would you guys and gals suggest i say when i go in and where do i stand with this and help and advice greatly apprecaited sorry for long post:mad:

brighthouse are vermin, sorry but there trading practices and whole buisness model are terrible.
now this insurance, was it underwritten by an insurer or via brighthouse?
in anycase its usually the case that on these types of policys once you get a replacement the policy is ended0 -

Because I was walking past one of their shops the other day and noticed a big sign in the window saying they were "proud to sponsor the show". I would never watch that programme, it's the pits (just like Bright House)What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
What exactly does the insurance policy say they have to do? Do the insurance company have a complaints procedure? They have to give you documentation when you buy insurance, detailing the complaints procedure. You do realise you did not have to purchase this insurance at the time, don't you?Have you contacted the freephone Customer Services number on their website. You are being far too patient.0

You may need to have some form of insurance in place, but you are certainly not obliged to take their insurance - if I am reading Hollydays right, I suspect this is what was meant by the advice not to sign anything. Insurance taken out with the supplier of the goods is often not very good value compared to shopping around for a good deal.0
