I need car insurance but only for 2 months. Does anyone know which insurer I could approach.

Hardly anybody.
But you can insure for a year and cancel after two months - but with most companies there is a fairly hefty financial penalty for doing so.
Esure (my insurer) charge a £25 fee for cancelling during the first year of cover, which doesn't seem so unreasonable. But their Ts & Cs state "We will not refund premiums for policies taken out to provide less than a year's cover". I'm not sure how they think they would know or prove this?
The MAJOR problem is that if you claim during your two months, you will NOT get a refund for the unexpired period because it's an annual insurance contract.0 -
see https://www.insurancewide.co.uk they claim to offer short term insurance cover (though they dont say what this is) you complete a quote on line and choose "short term" as insurance cover requiredI have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

I have tried a few companies from https://www.insurancewide.co.uk - however, they will not provide 3 month insurance. I only require insurance for this period because I will be taking over my mum mobility car and will therefore be insured with motability. Not sure what to do0
