alliance & Leicester Query

Hi everyone I hope you can advise me on this.
I bank with Alliance and Leicester - Internet Premier Account. I looked online on the 31st January this year and saw that an overdraft charge of £75.00 was going to be taken out on the 8th february. I received no email or letter telling me I was overdrawn. I was overdrawn by £6.00 for 2 weeks - which I was unaware of. I rang the bank on the 31st January to state that 1. This was excessive for going JUST £6.00 2. I am unable to pay the £75.00 at the beginning of february (that's a lot of money to anyone and plus I have a mortgage). They told me they will review this charge and I will get a decision "within 10 days". I waited 10 days and received nothing. I rang A&L almost everyday and was told the decision will be soon etc, some even said it is most likely the funds will be refunded as it was under £10. It took until the last day of february for me to call A&L and get a ring back from a manager who instantly told me that the charge will be refunded. Note before the 8th February I was £6.41 in credit, then they charged me and therefore for the whole of the feb or until I forced them to make a decision, they have charged me £5 everyday. I asked the manager what will happen to the charges occurred she said most likely they will be refunded also. At the start of March I saw on my bank statement that there was a charge for £90.00 i.e. £5 everyday in february. I called and explained and was told yes this is being reviewed. To back step a bit from the 31st Jan till the 4th february I was overdrawn I then put the account into credit (I was also charged an instant £25 by A&L - so by the 5th feb I was in credit). Therefore the charge for march should be just £20 (4 days @£5 a day). I called again and said look its just amending digits on a computer no refund needed - this is a banking mistake. Still they charged me £90.00 leaving me £70.00 overdrawn. I refuse to pay this fee, it was not my fault nor is it money I can do without. I called this morning as charges for April are now £105.00 (£5 everyday in march). I spoke to a manager who said no money will be refunded you have to pay £175 or else it will eventually go to a debt company, I continue to be charged £5 a day. I explained and explained - this women was like a robot all "I understand, I understand" by she could not do anything. She gave me a correspondence dept to write to however I will still be getting letters and charged everyday. This is wrong, immoral in fact. They said within 10 days they took 5 weeks. IF they had told me on the 15th feb for example that the charge will be refunded but I still must pay the 7 days of being overdrawn it would of saved me a lot of money. It seems as if they have waited as long as possible to give me a decision with the initial £75.00 then charge for the max days at £5. What I want to know is - what should I do next? what is the likely outcome? how should I approach this letter to the correspondence dept? Am I RIGHT?
Many. many thanks and apologies for the long text. P.S A&L were nothing but appalling throughout this whole experience, they were rude, aggressive, inconsistent with advice and completely useless with making any sort of decision. What I cannot understand is that my other bank is Lloyds they will tell me instantly whether the fee will be refunded or will stay, the same with my girlfriends bank HSBC. 5 weeks it took Alliance and Leicester!

Surley it`s relevant to be in this forum AS WELL as it refers to poor customer service...thus being relevant to being in the current accounts board as well as bank charges..
After all the OP isnt the only one who has been charged BECAUSE of poor customer service.....
It isnt always about the charges , sometimes it`s about how they got there
