i got an email the other day from boots about dior shine. has anyone else collected their sample? wondering if it is nice?
Tried to collect mine yesterday but was told that it's only at Boots with a seperate Dior counter. I did try the tester but not keen, it's a bit too sweet smelling for me.

You're very welcome :D Just wish i'd bought one of the more expensive items ! Although it could just be the med almond body wash. Be interesting to see if anyone else manages the glitch with any other products.

  • Just got back from a dream shop at Boots :D All the Valentines gifts that everyone has been getting for bargain prices fell into my lap today. Our store had a rack with the S&G sets, the hatboxes, the Pink Champagne and Ted Baker minature perfumes on - they all had SEL which were half the orginal price and I have been waiting....and waiting for them to be reduced again (it was all on display with the baby equip and the photo dept?!?) Well today I finally decided I was gonna pay £7.50 for the S&G set, the Righteous butter is so worth that price....and I thought I might price check the hatbox whilst at the till.....they went through for £1.87 and £2.24 respectively!!!!! Needless to say I then checked everything else....the Champagne was down to £3.24, and the mini perfume sets ££3.75 :T The staff were as thrilled as I was and were soon putting by their booty whilst I mentioned the deals to any customer who would listen:rotfl:

I also did the No17 pencil deal for 58p with the free lipglaze - somehow didn't have the nerve to try the palette too! Maybe next time:rotfl:

I just wanted to say a big thanks to whoever suggested getting things price checked - why I had never thought of that before escapes me but it certainly worked in my favour today.

The best part of all is I didn't spend any cash - I used points that I had accumulated since Christmas so that will keep DH happy too. My only problem right now is where to put it all?????

Just popped to Boots with a purse full of vouchers and got the following:

    Umberto Giannini beauty shampoo (£4.99)
    " " conditioner (£4.99)
    Pampers midi baby dry (£5.99)
Baby Einstein teether (reduced from £6 to £2.50)
    Johnsons baby shampoo (£2.79)
    " " extracare wash (£2.89)
    Boots Expert baby talc (£1.99)
    Boots Expert baby shampoo (£1.99)
    Free Expert gift tin

So it should have cost around £32.

The 2 for £6 Umberto Giannini then kicked in, bringing it down by £4.

I then used the following vouchers:
PC half price Expert voucher (which worked on both Expert items, making them 99p each)
£2 off Pampers voucher (from Pampers mailout)
1/2 price Umberto Giannini conditioner voucher from ACM
100 points wyb Expert from magazine
500 points wys £10 from PC mailout
75 points wys £10 from ACM
    £2 haircare till spit.

So I ended up paying just under £13 and got 759 points! Not sure how, but I managed to get 52 'normal' points, plus the 500, 100 and 75 offer points, plus an extra 32 parenting club points. Anyway, I'm not complaining, as I now have over £20 in points on may card and plan to treat myself to 2 Clinique items and the GWP.

    Thanks for the inspiration Bootsters!

I've been away from the thread that long that this is the second thread on Boots that I had to catch up on.

I'm trying to pay off £15000  by Christmas challenge so have been staying away from Boots as wasn't really moneysaving in the long run for me.

Anyway, my baby girl needed some baby milk and the only place I can get it is Boots soooooo today I took the plunge and went to the one in Welwyn Garden City as there aren't as many temptations in there being a small store.

Not sure if this has been posted but I did need some 'posh' shampoo for my sister's birthday hamper and I had a £2 voucher to use. I also had from the ACM a buy Umberto Gianni shampoo and get a conditioner free. I wasn't aware there was a special deal on this until I got to the till.

    This is my purchase:

    Umberto Shampoo = £4.19
    Umberto Conditioner = £4.19

    Total before vouchers = £8.38

The till then took off £2.10 (I presume due to an offer?)
I then gave the £2 voucher and the half price voucher.
Till took off £2 and then £2.38

    Total to pay = £1.90. :j

I'm not sure what the deal is as there were no signs anywhere near the store. The SA was very impressed and said she was going to do the same after work.

  • I'm sat here enviously clocking all your bargains and watching the clock...only 3 hours until I can leave work and hit Boots :D

Looking at the Boots website I have a nasty feeling that none of the Instant Radiance foundations will be the right colour for me - despite being a big No7 fan I've never got a good match with their foundations :(

Sent OH to Boots on his way to work this morning to pick up another Boots mag :D
