If they say something like "Why are you at the maxfactor stand?" atleast you have an excuse so you can say "Oh, is this maxfactor? Must be the glasses!".
I got caught giving the MF stand a really close look yesterday. I told her (with perfect truth) that I was admiring the new packaging, and what I used to use in the MF range, and asked her what she thought their current best products were? After about five minutes she got bored with me, bunged me a couple of samples and edged off, lol...given that I hadn't a particle of make-up on, she could see I was a bit of a waste of time when it came to making a sale.
I actually had quite a nice half hour looking at all the really fashionable make up ranges in the big town Boots...I've not set eyes on things like Benefit and Urban Decay before. Lovely packaging! When the (very pleasant) reps there asked me if they could help, I told them (also with perfect truth) that I loved the look of their products and that my nieces were always going on about it...and hinting for things for birthdays etc. So they gave me some more free samples, told me about gift vouchers and a Benefit catalogue, which is now deeply treasured by my small daughter.
I think the cosmetic reps live a frustrating and probably badly paid life and they like anyone who's nice to them, so be nice! I draw the line at make-overs, but I'll listen to anyone's opinions on my pores etc and am quite happy to try any samples that they bestow upon me. I'm hardly ever in the big city branch of Boots anyway, so it's not like they're going to recognise me three months from now.Val.0 -
Well I am fed up with Worcester now!
This morning the mediterranean glitch didn't work as the till bleeped
Then this afternoon I decided to have another quick nose around whilst DH was having his hair cut, and I spotted where I had missed the nail kits earlier, empty shelves of course as the SEL actually was marked as 2.50I must find some!
And then I thought I would try to get the 17 GWP with the free lip glaze, and some nail varnish, but again the till bleeped at the lip glaze voucher, SA told me the 2 offers wouldn't work together...stupid bleepy tills!
One of the SAs was decided to make me feel even more fed up by telling me how I'd missed out on the pink champagne yesterday too grrrr!
I want to go to a bargain filled Boots...hmmmm where should I go?
I was pleased that I got some hatboxes though, and was also pleased the expert baby wipes on BOGOF class as the 2 products needed for the GWP
Are the boxes going through on cheap, and are there any left?!? I work at M&S, and if they work, I'll nip across on me break and grab some!Dooyoo £10.40/40, TopCashBack £17.19/30, Valued Opinions 50p/£10, Swagbucks 0/£20, Ebay £15/£250 -

Noticed instore today that some of the Olay range is on 342. With all the different Olay coupons about (£5 off, 600pts, free Wipes/Toner/Wash with purchase) mostly from PC I think, I smell an opportunity for another glitch. Perhaps 341? Who's going to try?
My store is too much on the ball and most SAs will only let you use one voucher  .
Poundsinbucks x🥳🥳 SW -6st 3.5lbs 🥳🥳0 -
 cant find any reduced shimmer 17 stuff anywhere.. found lots of old packaging stuff but price checked and still full price.
. and no sign of the elusive hat boxes, max factor "freebies" or any bargains on *almost bare* clearance shelves:mad: ... gutted that med glitch didnt work. well done brave ladies (and gents?) that got the £15 gift sets tooooooo.... fantastic deal!!!!!!!  :T
if anyone has any spare mf freebies etc, would be willing to pay postage or do "swaps" ??? always worth an askmy mum used to say! lol :rotfl:
