We'd like to go away for a week in Devon in July (11th-18th as the OH's birthday falls on that week) but I'm having a bit of trouble finding somewhere that isn't really expensive but is also nice and rural.
Our budget is upto £300 for the week (Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday) for a little 1 bed cottage in a nice rural location - middle of nowhere really!
Anywhere in Devon!
Thank you

Try looking here:
http://www.toadhallcottages.co.uk/index.html
We have used them twice before and they have some beautiful properties, including some romantic hideaways for two - they might come in a bit over budget though.0 -

These are good quality ( used them myself), but you'll struggle with £300 wherever you go at those dates as it's high season and school hols.0 -
Have a look at this site www.welcomecottages.com, we have used them in the past for France and I know they also have places in the UK because we are looking to book for September Devon or Cornwall.0

Slightly over budget at that time but try https://www.indicknowlefarmholidays.co.uk
Not stayed there myself but bought some cider from their farm, very nice lady owns the place, if you are in the area I'd recommend popping in there just to try the cider!
I think £300 may be being hopeful for that time of year though.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

You could try www.underthethatch.co.uk
They are beautiful renovated properties, one of which I'd love to go to where you walk by a waterfall. Can't remember about the prices though. Good luck.0 -
Try http://www.lymebayholidays.co.uk then your on the edge of Devon, Dorset and Somerset. It's very lovely and un-developed here if you are looking for a quieter pace.
Too many children, too little time!!!
