Here is an email from Tesco regarding clubcard deals vouchers:
Dear Darren,
Thank you for your email
The £250 spend at MFI (using clubcard deals vouchers)is a Condition that has been added as from today. MFI should have informed you about this, but given you some leeway, as any MFI token sent to customers before the 15th of August would not have this condition.
If you would still like to buy the item in MFI, you can try again, and speak to a manager who should know all about the 6 month change over on this condition.
If not, you can send the token back to us (using the address on the reverse of the token) and we can happily refund this for you.
I hope this is of help to you, if you have any more questions, please email us again, or give us a tinkle on 0808 100 0707
Have a Good Day

£250 minimum spend of vouchers?
£250 minimum cost of purchase?
£250 minimum cash contribution from customer?

£250 minimum cost of purchase0

Cool... so they're happy to accept £250 in vouchers to purchase an item costing £250.

Yes...I put this up mainly though because I read a thread where people were upset that they couldn't use vouchers for an under £250 spend so I thought this info may be of use.0

What happens if I'm saving for a kitchen, costing say £1000. Can I pay with 4 £250 voucher/deals?:j0 -

Have a look at post #6 by Fluffybunny in this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=75676 (sorry I don't know how to link to a post within a thread so you will have to scroll down to post 6). She explains about the denominations of vouchers and the number of vouchers you can use.
Tesco did tell me when I enquired about the new £250 minimum order value at MFI (and they said this was MFI's condition, not theirs) - doesn't affect you or me because we're buying kitchens but could be a problem for some others.0 -
Thanx for that, so I'll save my vouchers for as long as possible, then turn them into MFI Deals. Probably by then MFI will have been withdrawn, or even closed down, our local shop always seems dead quiet.
I need settee's before a kitchen, but I don't want to buy them from MFI!
