Hanging Pictures on Plasterboard Walls

I'm moving into a house that has plasterboard internal walls.
I want to hang some pictures (some heavy, most not). I would think that usual picture hooks using masonry nails wouldn't be any use - so what's the best way? Use screws or is there another way?

Using picture hooks with the standard nails will be fine for most pictures.
I would use a screw with a proper plasterboard rawlplug to hnag the heavy ones.0 -
I hang everything on my plasterboard walls using just a nail.
As per the other post, you can get plasterboard specific rawl plugs from any DIY shop. I've used these to fix other things to the wall and they work fine.0
