Inspiration needed please for bathroom make-over

My bathroom is in need of some 'attention'....(cosmetic rather than structural) and I'm stuck for ideas. Rest of house is minimal/neutral but I like to go a bit OTT with the bathroom. Bath, loo and handbasin are plain white and room is fairly small. Past incarnations have been sea-sidey/beachy/nautical; liquorice allsorts inspired; peruvian hot orange/pink/terracotta stylee.
Any ideas/sources of inspiration please? What's yours like????

Well mine is the pink/terracotta style and I have done the turquoise beachy so i am really no inspiration.
What about a black and white something?

Halogen lights (not spotlights) make a big difference - espesially in combination with mirror wall. I used mirror 30x30cm tiles from Ikea and this set ot 10 lights from B&Q:

If loft is not boarded lights are quite easy to install.0 -
I did mine for about 500.00 and it's beautiful... used one coat tile paint in soft stone to paint over all tiles.. it's brill but it did need two coats however you can not tell they have been painted. kept my white bath and toilet but replaced the flush handle on the loo, the taps and plug and overflow thing on the bath to nice simple silver ones (B & Q)... replaced the white plastic bathroom cabinet to a stainless steele one(Argos)... changed the sink to one with a stainless steele base and a blue blass bowl and a nice simple tap(argos) got cheap large black floor tiles (B & Q) and they house the workings for the new sink and around the toilet walls upto the hight of the top of the loo. plain black rubber flooring (70.00 fitted from local carpet shop) new lighting... a large frameless mirror(B & Q).. new towel rail and light pull, new round silver shower curtain rail (next)...roman blind, shower curtain and loo seat in black and white from next. new towels in blue, brown and black which are all folded on a glass shelf. a few blue candles... it looks very modern and I love it.0

Wow! That sounds fantastic...I love those glass sinks but don't really want to go to that kind of expense...was thinking more like £50 rather than £500!!!!Like the sound of the colour scheme though...blue, brown and black...sounds very swish!!

Thanks grumbler but don't think those kind of lights would be possible (in a flat!) but I take your point about lighting being important. Was in Ikea yesterday looking at mirror tiles actually...quite fancy those wavy ones!♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0 -

Not sure if you're into papering, but what about collage on the walls, you can use old sheet music, comics, newspapers anything that you like. You need to seal it afterwards presumably with waterproof varnish. The only downside is when you need to get it off to redecorate.
Seen it in mags a few times, one was a Beano toilet, and the another was more Victorian style traditional collage. I did think it was a really good way to show your personality in a room.
Not tried it yet though, but maybe the next house?0
