CREDIT CARD HELP?????Which one!!

Hope someone can help who has been in my situation. I have had debt in the past but have rebuilt my credit rating over the last five years, I still get refused for some things though, some mobile companys etc.
I want a credit card, who is best to apply to who are good with people with not too good credit pasts, just to get my foot on the ladder so to speak?I dont want a loan as will be receiving some mone inn August so want to just have a credit card for my forthcoming trip to America, pay off minimum until my money comes through in August.
Any help appreciated as I go soon and want to get sorted.

Try the capital one classic, vanquish or Barclaycard initial.

Don't expect huge credit limits if you are successful though, you may get as little as £200.00.
