Cheque

Advise for a friend, honest.

she paid a large cheque into Barclays, after waiting 2 months for it to come.

Barclays have lost the cheque, although my friend still has the paying in receipt, and have asked her to get another from the company who issued it.

The company who issued it took ages in the first place to send it (insurance company). Is there anything else she can do?

Not sure what else she could do but if the cheque has gone missing I would be contacting the insurance company advising them to cancel it and replace it -thus making sure that if it was 'found' or fraudulantly handled by someone she would be protected from involvement -make sure she retains the receipt.
