Easy Flight Search?

Does one exist?

Can anyone suggest a good website to use to find flights. We are very flexible on dates, departure points and duration.

We simply want to check for the best price for a flight to a specified destination.

Every website I try insists on me putting in a departue date, nights stay, which airport departure (even what time on some!) etc.

Typically we like to book a flight to a specific destination but:

It can be for 7,10,14,21 days - not fussed.

Departure date - not fussed

Leaving from - not fussed

etc

I did find one that was almost right but it only had very expensive flights (so I didn't bookmark it).

Hope that makes sense!

Thank You

The cheapest flights are www.ryanair.com since you aren't fussed and to find them use the http://flightchecker.moneysavingexpert.com

Some websites have fare calendars but you have to put in a date as a starting point easyjet and monarch do this.

Airport websites are getting very good listing destinations and airlines with weblinks halping you to search. Also look at the airport website of where you want to go to and they may list where you can get there from the UK.

I don't think there is a single website that will do exactly what you want, but putting a bit of effort in having a good hunt around can help you find what you want.

    Thanks for the responses.

It would probably have helped if I had said we we're particulary looking at caribbean destinations:

skyscanner - looks like it should do the job until you try and find a flight then it's the same as the others.

kayak - no, wants all the flight info

flightchecker.moneysavingexpert - kinda close but still have to select airport and doesn't have comprehensive destination list (unless I'm missing something - which is quite possible!)

lowfareflights - pretty much what I was after Thanks.
However, despite it's hundreds of destinations, it hasn't got the 2 we're thinking of this year! Just our luck  - Bookmarked for future though.
  • RancineFan, The sites to search are best determined by where you are going AND when you hope to travel. 'WHEN' is important because that's what determines costs of flights.

If you are non-fussed as you put it over departure, airports or dates, why do you need to search the internet then, when you can merely pack your bags, turn up at any airport of your choice with a credit card and purchase your ticket?

    To anyone who's interested:

I've found these two to be pretty close to what I was after.

    cheapflights.co.uk
airflights.co.uk (although you do have to click through for each day)

For those that seem a bit confused about why I need this:

We run our own business and can pick dates to suit.
We like to book accomodation before we fly.
Have tried turning up on the day but that's not always good!

A bit of searching a couple of years back got us a month in Mauritius for the cost of a week - it's worthwhile!

Hope that's of some use to someone else though and thanks for the answers.

if you need UK booking and language try this one:

https://www.airnet.co.uk lets you book online and can bring up some unexpected bargains

https://www.fly.de this is a German site (and its a shame they don't offer a English version). I have nothing but praise for them - I don't work for them, but speak German and have booked two flights with them in the past.
The real beauty is the simplicity of the booking engine and the fact that you can book virtually any flight anywhere in the world.
They also give you information such as booking class, aircraft type and let you easily change any option, by going on the back button (retaining all details).

If just researching flight options, this maybe your best choice, for booking you obviously need some sort of German translation - or go with the mostly self explanitory fields :)
