The response I got from Martin when I PM'd him 8 August 2008:
We aim to have it in the article in time for the 'time to swtich'0 -
This was shown on 'Breakfast' on the BBC this morning:
Energy tariffs probe
There are claims that energy companies are deliberately keeping their poorest customers in the dark about lower gas and electricity charges. It is estimated around 4 million people should be on so-called 'social tariffs' where customers pay the lowest rates. Sabet Choudhury reports.

If this doesn;t prove my point, I don't know what does!0 -
'Insisting' on an article is a bit cheeky, don't you think.
Like walking into someones house and demanding special treatment.
Out of order.0 -

another shining example of poor practice by the energy companies and lack of regulation by the government0 -
esbo wrote:...How come Gordon Brown has not mentioned that gas prices have fallen dramatically and he will be making sure the gas companies cut their prices accordingly? It's shocking!
Heres the October 2008 NBP (National Balancing Point) price for gas:"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
So are all those advocating this seriously suggesting that if a company made a stand and provided easy and wide access to a subsidised social tariff that they would switch to their non-social tariff and happily pay more? They wouldn't swan off to a cheaper competitor that did not have such a generous/expensive provision? Don't make me laugh.0

Hardly insisting - if you see my first post, I did ask nicely - in fact I said 'pretty please'.
The fact is that Martin is extremely busy and may not be aware of these areas of concern until someone draws it to his attention.
Martin, if you are reading, apologies if the request for an article came across as a demand - it was, and still, is only intended as a polite request.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
