Anyone Used Travel City Direct Sunshine First Cabin?

We have booked our holiday to florida today going in january, and have been with Travel City Direct before, as they were by far the cheapest we booked with them but decided to upgrade to the sunshine first cabin (the highest one)
Has anyone else ever used this one, and is it worth it? We thought it was worth the extra money for the leg room you get extra (seat pitch 50"). Being a fmaily of tall people!!!
Anyone got good/bad stories about the first class cabin.
Dont want horror stories about travel city in general just the first class cabin!!

Can't help you, divadee, but would love to hear how you get on! Have never been with Travel City Direct, so can't compare - we have travelled to Florida with BA, Virgin and American Airlines. AA had the best legroom but poor service. Virgin ran out of softdrinks a couple of hours before we landed. BA - hope never to fly with them again in cattle class - aargh! Can't afford Business Class - was it masses more for the upgrade with Travel City Direct? Sorry, being lazy, I know I should find out for myself
Anyway, hope you have a fantastic time when you go!

Thanks both of you, that forum was great as well.
Bennifred the cost of the upgrade was £249 each extra. We thought it was worth it as for that you get.
Massive 50 inch seat pitch
Priority Check-in
Priority Boarding
40 Kilo luggage allowance
Welcome Aboard Refreshments
Personal TV monitor
Upgraded menu / meal service
Dedicated in-flight cabin crew
No Children under 3yrs
There are only 22 seats in the first class cabin so it should be nice and quiet for us!!!0 -
Wow! That is not bad at all for the money! Will definitely consider next time, especially if you report good things when you get back, divadee
. May be some time though, eldest boy hopefully off to Uni so expecting funds to be low for some time  Mind you, I guess if we are saving on his fare...
(Like he'd let us get away with that one!)

we didnt think it was bad for the money, have used travel city direct before and it was great. for 5 of us incl car hire (7 seater people carrier) and villa with pool heat and upgraded flights it was just under £4000 thats for 2 weeks.
We got a quote from virgin and they wanted over £4k just for the flights and car hire  and that was economy!!! I know virgins economy is better than travel citys but it was not worth the money for us at all.
Travel city do other grades of travel, but they dont work out such good value we though. You could always put your son in one level up and you and hubby go in first class!!!0
