My car crash
I was rear ended in April 05 in a relativley low speed crash at 20mph, there was £1400 of damage to the car and eventually the party responsible has admitted liability........injury wise i had shoulder/neck pain which comes and goes but meant i had to stop playing rugby and i can't drive for any long periods over an hour, im currently on the 3rd brief with the solicitors employed and finally i'm going for a medical appointment with a specialist....can anyone tell me what is the purpose of this, is it my insurance company/the other persons insurance company or is it a legal req ?
What should i expect as i hate going into something like this blind

I had to do this after being in a taxi that crashed. The point of seeing the specialist is so your injuries can be varified by a medical professional. Its not a big deal and is standard practice. All you need to do is to go along and explain to the specialist what problems you are having as a result of the crash. They might examine your shoulder/neck briefly but it shouldn't take long. I wouldn't worry about it.0
