where can i buy lead?

Just wondering where i can buy this horrificly expensive stuff? i need about 6 meteres by about 200mm wide. Only place i've seen it is in wickes and its going to be about £150. Can anyone sugest somewhere else?

Most metals are shooting up in price which isn't unusual... I would imagine it would be cheaper than Wickes in a Plumbers Merchants... if they don't stock it they can order it in for you...
My usual curiosity makes me wonder what you want it for as its usually used by plumbers for lead flashing etc... ?#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

roofing suppliers sell lead on the roll diffrent lengths and thickness somme will also cut the length you want ,should find them in yellow pages0

Could always try your local church roof, I hear they are giving the stuff away!
It has gone up ridicuously in price, have you considered an equivalent, I think Wickes do a cheaper, maybe aluminum, strip for flashings....0 -
