I've just seen on a  Facebook group I'm on someone won £100,050 this month.

I had £100 (2 x £50) on full holdings, since the rates went up last my winnings have dropped
Can't understand why anybody would publish a win, particularly one of that  size, on social media.  It's asking for potential trouble.  Just illustrates that social media has become such a way of life for many people that nobody recognises the dangers any more.
They said they'd posted under a pseudonym, I'm happy to post my holdings and winnings anonymously on here, but would never advertise publicly the range if savings we have.

Just had our first prize. £50 on an £1800 holding. Happy with that.

£300 for the family on 3 full holdings, so the regular monthly disappointment!

£50 on full (Nil Dec) Feels rubbish because poor results last 2 consecutive months..
But £2200 2023 total. 4.4% Tax free, so not great, but not too bad as I pay tax (BR) on interest.

Also baffles me that people advertise their empty house to burglars when they check in at an airport 😂

Wise man. I wish I could turn the clock back 12 months and have done the same.

I think an Ernie investment probably often depends on an individual tax situation.  If they,re above the tax free interest threshold then Ernie is still a wise decision because winnings are tax free.  Individuals have to make their own decisions.  What is sensible for one person may not be wise for another if their financial circumstances differ.
and many people don,t want to gamble in principle but with Ernie your stake is still safe.
