Premium Bond Winner ?

Ended the year on around 6% return so happy enough.Until we were able to invest the full 50k we reinvested all winnings. I keep a record of what bonds win prizes - looking forward to the day a reinvested win comes up trumps but no joy yet! Anyone else do this - with success?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

i keep a note of successful winners on a spreadsheet. I,ve had several winners in the same block win prizes but no single winner has yet had the fortune to come up trumps again. A winner on a "freebie" winner indeed would be the icing on the cake. I do wish NS&I would allow winners over the £50K limit to be reinvested though.1

I'd have been delighted with 6%, I managed exactly 2% on FH. I'm hoping for better in 2024 but wonder how long it will be before NS&I lower the rates again - I fear it will be quite soon, and probably a number of cuts before the end of the year.gallygirl said:Ended the year on around 6% return so happy enough.1 -
Hi all i have added my winnings up today for this year and managed 5.7% on max holdings more than happy with that 😄0

Just going back to what someone said about 'winning on a freebie' . I won £100 in November on a £100 block that was reinvested in July .0

I'd rather not think about how much interest I've lost out on vs savings accounts (even after tax) by holding the max holding for the last couple of years.3

But you're going to win £1,000,000 next week, aren't you?Swipe said:I'd rather not think about how much interest I've lost out on vs savings accounts (even after tax) by holding the max holding for the last couple of years.0 -
Good thread to see peoples experiences. I will invest in the new year, read mixed things about whether to get a single block or separate it into 1k or 10k blocks, does it really make a difference? are they all sequential and people have noticed a difference in wins?0

I have a £10k and a £5k block and more of my wins seem to come from these than lower value batches but it may of course just be coincidence. A few of my reinvested wins (up to the £50k maximum holding have actually won other small prizes0

My return on small bonds has been poor this year barely 2%. However a relative has two 20k bonds and his return this year is just short of 10% with wins of £500 x 4 plus numerous £100 wins. Just depends how lucky you are.0
