Well, that's my 5th month in a row with no win, with a max holding.

I'm starting to think my numbers aren't in the draw any more. I think I'm going to withdraw it all, miss a month and buy back a new block of numbers.

According to the MSE premium bond probability calculator, only 100% of people have won more than me.

    😭

By my calculations this should be so rare it could almost be considered statistically impossible.

Are you sure you are holding £50k?

Do you have the NS&I "Prize Checker" app configured with the correct holder number? When you click on the past 6 draws button, what does it show?

I'm a bit of an odds geek and would love to see evidence of this, as you are presumably the unluckiest premium bonds holder of all time. Perhaps you could do an interview with the Daily Mail? ;)
Oooo, does that mean I'm famous? B)
Yes, I'm sure I have 50k in there. I've attached a screenshot of the NS&I website showing my prize history. The amount I have in there shows at the top. My last win was 2 x £25 in December.

I'm gonna withdraw half and get a new batch of them, as someone suggested earlier in the thread.

Think I'll pass on the Daily Mail though. lol.

No big win yet.  This month I won...

    £500
    £25
    £25.

£34K holding at the time?  I've added more since then.
Depends on how you define big win.

Personally, I would include £500 as such, given there are less than 40,000 of them.
NS&I consider £5K+ worthy of being published on their big wins list so I consider  £5K a big win.

Last month I won £1K And 3 smaller wins. Hoping this winning streak keeps going
Deru, am I right in understanding you’ve won over £1600 in 2 months (which is amazing!) and not on max holding… and are hoping your winning streak continues? I get the need to hope… but share the luck around 😂

Nothing last month. £25 this month. On £35k holding.

A bit disappointed but I didn’t win over £100 for 2 months earlier this year so I guess I’m averaging out.

Sometimes the day before the results I decide what I’m going to treat myself to if I win a “good” amount and this time I was going to surprise an old friend by sending them a Lego bonsai kit as they’ve been a bit down lately. But £25 won’t cover that but I might do it anyway, or maybe wait for a win next month if I’m lucky!

    1x £50 for me and £575 for other half - 1x £500, 1x£50, 1x£25.  Both hold 50k each. If I’m nice other half may share  😂

I might have got the odds slightly wrong, but even still I’d say it’s more likely that someone would win a £50k prize than go 5 consecutive months with no wins on max holding. Kinda sickening.

This won't achieve anything other than taking half your bonds out of the draw for a month.

The bonds you buy won't have a better chance of winning than the ones you've sold. (but it is very tempting to think they will)

Yeah, I know. But I feel like I've got to try something different. I know the odds are the same, but my bonds aren't in one big block. They were 'purchased' monthly over a period of a few years until I reached the max.

Seeing how much the 50k would earn each month in interest in a savings account is frustrating. Of course if I want reliable returns, then that's what I should do. Just hoped for a slightly better return than I'm getting now on the bonds though.

It is what it is, I suppose. I feel a bit better just for having a moan about it on here.  :D

Done that quite a few years ago, not made much difference in my case. I cashed in all of my bonds that were bought a very long time ago and bought just one block Max holding.

April and May this year, no wins, not even £25 😞

So, be aware, its all down to luck of the draw 🤔

Yeah, I know the odds don't change. I'm planning on winning the million next month anyhow, so none of this will matter.  :D

I guess maybe wait for a decent win then cut your losses and go for a fixed rate instead.
