If there are fewer £25 prizes that's disappointing as that's all most people on this forum seem to win and a few more happy faces for a few moments would be nice,0

You said you couldn't find it yesterday evening so I said I found it yesterday afternoon and provided evidence. But you didn't - twice over. Oh dear, I thought I'd give you a chance to spot your error. But not being able to be self-critical IS "what this site is all about" - it appears.ditto ColdIron.

Please put me out of my abject misery and explain my error to me.
You will of course remember our earlier skirmishes over my slapdash posting and propensity to dig deeper and deeper holes for myself. Those days are happily long gone.0 -
The page you found yesterday is a sales page. I found that page, too - but I didn't make your error of thinking that "It is being shown as the current rate so that must be from the October draw."Anyone buying Premium Bonds on the basis of that page would get 2.2% - but that doesn't tell you anything about the rate for October's draw - the first eligible draw for the purchaser being November. So I slept on it and then searched for a clear statement from NS&I.

I genuinely admire your attention to detail and logical and forensic aptitude.
I am humbly chastened and more importantly wiser for this encounter.
And last but not least I offer my apologies for my errant chastisement of your good self.
One downmanship perhaps is a dish best consumed quietly upon another battle lost.1 -

I’ve only ever won £25 prizes - probably like most people?
so although there are more larger prizes , with far less £25 prizes, won’t it mean you will win less prizes each month?!
No, the difference is that there are going to be a number of people in the next draw who would have won £25 prizes, but will instead now win larger prizes. (The number of prizes actually increased slightly).
