Are all winnings shown on the ns&i checker?  I mean, if you win it big would it show on there?  Any millionaires here to verify please? 😽
NS&I say it does and looking there it lists winners from £5,000 up to £1 million.

I see no reason to doubt it.

Will I remember to post here when I win £1 million?

    Yeah right!  :)

Hi all. The day has come to check again. I was getting something every month since May 22. Highest was £75 on 19k holding

    fingers crossed for this month
Main results are not until tomorrow
I know 😁. That hoping for a big win which did not happen
Maybe it’s not just me that searches the list of high value winners on the 1st, and tries to work out if I won any of them 😁
I missed getting the prize warrants in the post (though didn't miss the trip to the bank to pay them in), it used to be a nice surprise checking the post.

I have stopped using the prize checker when the results come out and now wait for the "you've just won!" email from NS&I.

    Hi,

I'm fairly new to Premium Bonds,  hope it's ok to just jump in here?

    In August I won £50
    September won £25.

Don't forget to mention how many bonds you've got.  £25, even £50, would be a bit disappointing on a £50,000 holding, but a triumph on £1,000... ;)
Ah thank you for the tip and that's me disappointed then!
I had £10k for the August draw and maximum holdings for September so not the best trajectory :D

Currently considering withdrawing £20k for a 6 month savings fix at 2.3 %...
    ERF savings target = £20k by January 2028 ... October 2025 balance = £8217.86

    November budget £350.00 / 9 Nov: £71.72 and 21days remaining

I think I should do the same as I always get excited when I receive a “You’ve just won” email only to realise 2 seconds later that I already knew about it from the prize checker.
  • £25 on £10000 since February. Good luck to anyone trying to sign into the NS&I site. No chance but I was able to get the phone app and that showed my winnings.

My very first deposit was £100 June 2018, my first draw in Aug 2018 I won £500. Was mega welcome as I was in a car accident a month later and I could use the 500 towards a new car deposit.
I've got around 5.5k saved now and had a couple of £25s over the last 4 years so it's about £675 altogether I've won now. But nothing won for around 1.5 years :(
Its a long slog when you've had the buzz of a few wins and get nothing else! Though I realise compared to some I've been very lucky!
If you won £500 in your first qualifying month from just £100-worth of bonds, you should have quit there and then as it's unlikely to get any better than that ! :D

Seriously though - if you consider these as important savings and don't necessarily need the tax-free element of the prizes, then I would have a think about whether Premium Bonds are the best option for your money these days, especially when you can earn around 2% in an easy access account at the moment or 3.3%+ by fixing for a year or more. While either of those are a long way off inflation, they're a big improvement on the 0% you've gotten over the past 1.5 years.
