Well, someone with a very modest holding (not as modest as yours!) from 1973 won £10,000 yesterday. Probably made their day.
As to having £50k invested, someone did that last July and won a million this June. There is a god.

£25 on a maximum holding. Started Premium Bonds at the beginning of the year and every month either nil or £25, so below average luck so far. I will keep them until the end of the year to see if my luck changes, and if not then will look to move my money elsewhere.

I am getting more in interest on my expunged Premium Bonds atm, than I did while I held them, i.e. more than £50 a month.

Of course, I miss out on the chance of the higher wins, but never achieved more than £25 pockets in 12 years.
