I love how cross the OP got in this thread… 😅
I love that they started in 2005 and not logged on since 2012 but it just keeps going.
  • No big win for me this month - I saw a few from my county and one with a similar holding to mine so got a bit excited, before looking at the date they  were bought...

Not sure what's more annoying, this thread getting bumped a day before the small prize results come out or having to wait for the 2nd of month for the results

Someone with just a £1k holding won a million?
  • Forgive what may be a daft question, but I'm curious as to what the "Bond Value" represents on the NS&I prize page?

So someone who has £21.9k invested has won £25k, but what does the "Bond Value" of £25 represent? I thought each "bond" (i.e. number) was worth £1?

    Yeah, lucky so and so!

    £1k invested a year ago - 100,000% return :)

It means they bought a block of 25 individual £1 bonds at the same time.
  • Thank you,

So how does one end up with a holding of £1001 if the min prize is £25 and £1000 was bought in a block?

The £1 will be an old purchase from before the minimum block size was introduced, unrelated to prizes....

Or they could have held separate 2 blocks of £1,000 and sold £999.
