That's how I've made most of my one off payments. Just set up a standing order then cancel it once it has been processed. Never had a problem doing it that way.

I've just checked the site. Nothing this month - in fact, nothing since July :-( not good for the size of the pot we have in it.

However the one that made me smile was a £1000 win from a £3 investment to someone in Tyne and Wear. They bought the bond in 1957. Must have made someone's day - well, as long as they haven't moved in the meantime!!
