Have you ever looked at the FOI responses on 'What do they know'. For example someone asked for data on unclaimed prizes. I was amazed by how many were in Australia (around 4 thousand) with one 5k bond having 32 unclaimed prizes!! Another person asked for two year data from 2017-2019 which they provided altho not the bond number or location but it could be they didn't ask for it. It may be worth a look.grandweb said:Lopo said:Yippppeeeee......!
Feb has been my best month yet!
Have only ever won smaller £50 amounts, with the occasional rare £100.00. The last win was for £50 in November.
So a 2 month wait, This month has won 3 prizes, a new first for me too totalling £600, made up of 1x £500 and 2x £50
so happy!
Dont know my total holding value as I would like to be surprised one day and told that it is maxed out, a sort of mystery savings pot currently which I add to monthly! Winnings are automatically re-invested.

Best of luck everyone...Hi all,Bit of a random question, but I'm hoping someone here might have kept some of the old Premium Bonds full winners lists that NS&I publish on their website, e.g. from this post in 2007! Unfortunately the download link no longer works.
NS&I only publicly share the last 6 months of data, but I'm trying to help archive as much of the historical data as possible. I’m especially interested in filling the missing gaps shown on this coverage page here https://premiumbondsresults.com/coverageThe files were either published as zips, txt files or pdfs for the older ones. If you still happen to have any of these old files, I'd love to know.
Thanks in advanceDidn't in the old days the prizes get published as a supplement to the Government paper of record The London Gazette? In pre-computer and Internet days you'd be referred to it if you'd turned up at a Post Office with a query about a win that you did not know about. I'm not sure of the frequency they received this though. I am sure postmasters who worked when the Post Office was the only place you could buy Premium Bonds will have had these queries and what to do and how to use the supplement would have been part of GPO training. Best example I can think of is an envelope being sent to an old address "On Her Majesty's Service" with a computer generated address, but the recipient finding out the new occupier had sent back "Return to Sender". Of course it could be a tax demand from the Inland Revenue or a Jury Summons, but it could be one of those cheques from ERNIE in Lytham St. Annes....https://www.thegazette.co.uk/contact-us Surely it would not be too much hassle for them to upload PDF's of these?
The people who publish The London Gazette might be worth approaching.

They still have a printed list of unclaimed prize bonds available at all main Post Offices, I presume you just ask to view, also have them available online to download. I read a few years ago on ThisisMoney that when you search for unclaimed bonds on the app it only searches the last six months not since the beginning but it may be different now. I do think NSI should do a lot more to reunite prizes with their owner. I don't expect them to follow up the small prizes but those from 1k-100,000. More advertising ie publicising all the unclaimed prizes from £500 upwards in newspapers every six months as some holders of old bonds may not be able to use the internet. One FOI response said there were more than 100m warrants that remain uncashed. All unclaimed bonds are still generating prizes as per the 32 unclaimed on a 5k bond I mentioned earlier. If NSI really wanted to reunite prizes with owners they have the means to do so but I don't believe they do.Confused_Dog said:mandarin6 said:

I agree about asking The Gazette, it may be a long shot for the poster who asked the question but if NSI wont provide the info he may be able to obtain it this way. Ironically I downloaded the numbers for some of the years he is missing but lost them all when my computer broke.

Thanks for all the replies! From my understanding, the London Gazette only ever published the unclaimed prizes and not the full list of wins, which is what I'm after, but I might try checking with them.Confused_Dog said:Didn't in the old days the prizes get published as a supplement to the Government paper of record The London Gazette?Ironically I downloaded the numbers for some of the years he is missing but lost them all when my computer broke.
Shame about the data loss - hopefully you didn't lose anything too valuable! I was hoping that someone might have saved past years - at least from 2004 when they started publishing the data online.0 -

Lost photos from a special occasion which upset me but I should have backed them up.
There is a guy on here (pcp developer I think) who has info back to 2011 - he has an app which you pay 99p to access a lot of the info - he may be able to help with some years.0 -
Strange one today - out of the blue I have received £25 deposit in the bank account we use for PB prizes that appears to have a reference for a PB win - this is ~ 3 weeks after the "normal" prize deposits were made..Doesn't appear to be ours !!
Can you still be paid by cheque ? And if so would the reference number be in the same format (ie 11 numbers 0 NS PBZ)?0 -
Most likely it is a reallocated prize as the bond that originally won it was found to be ineligible. If I remember correctly from posts here, they are not the best at communicating when this happens.brewerdave said:Strange one today - out of the blue I have received £25 deposit in the bank account we use for PB prizes that appears to have a reference for a PB win - this is ~ 3 weeks after the "normal" prize deposits were made..Doesn't appear to be ours !!

If you keep good records of what you win each month, using the online history in your account, you will actually find the month to which the extra £25 was allocated.1

Always had the prizes as extra bonds until early 2024 when topped up to £50k. I think the reference number on the bank account must be a warrant number. Having a quick look at actual NSI account it lists bond numbers and dates won but nothing else. The total is still £50K !1spiral said:If you keep good records of what you win each month, using the online history in your account, you will actually find the month to which the extra £25 was allocated.
Looking at the reference numbers for previous wins over the last two years paid into the bank account suggests a win from ~ 2020.
I'm thinking it might be someone else's win - they may have found it in old paperwork and then paid it in with the wrong bank account details.0 -
It will have been someone else's win but for whatever reason (probably deceased) they are no longer eligible. Once NS&I find this out, they reallocate it but it gets reallocated to the month it was originally won.brewerdave said:

Guess I'll just have to wait to see if NS&I actually tell me ! LOL1spiral said:
