Ive not a clue where i should put this so im putting it here please place it in the proper forum please.
What it is is i bought a cheapish wireless keyboard from Argos i dont even think ive had it 2 months yet and its always missing letters/numbers keys while im typing.
I thought it was just the batteries so i bought some very good quality batteries but its still doing it.The keyboard is only about a foot away from the pc so its nothing to do with the range.
What i want to know is can i take it back to Argos and ask if i can pay the extra and get myself a corded keyboard as this is the 2nd one ive had from Argos which has went this way (both different keyboards by the way).
I only paid £10 for this one and the last one i didn't even bother taking it back. i know you only have 30 days in which to take it back to the shop but i want to know if i can take it back and get an upgrade.
I don't want to be going into the shop and getting a showing up them saying we dont take items back after the 30 days shop guarantee.
Its very annoying typing something out and finding when you look at the screen nothing has been typed out  or if it does post and you look at what you have said some of the letters/numbers are missing making it look like your an idiot.

Its faulty so of course you can take it back and exchange it, i once had a kettle break in its 11th month so i took it back to argos and they changed it no problem0

But it says 30 days shop guarantee thats why i was a bit worried in taking it back but if that's the case and you took it back after 11 months scorpiolady im taking it back today

The keyboard is not fit for purpose and therefore the onus is on Argos to sort it out .. the 30 day bit is above and beyond statuatory rights and does not negate any statuatory rights. Last week I took a toaster back that was 18 months old (it came with a 2 year guarantee) ... it had a minor fault that affected its operation .. they simply replaced it.
if it is any concellation I have lost count of the number of keyboards I have been through on my Toshiba laptop (It must be close to if not already in double figures). Fortunately we have acontract in work that means they keep replacing them.

Better write the number down just in case knowing my luck they wont have any left i better check online to see if they have the one that is corded0

just out of interest was it a black one and came with a mouse too, think it was a mikomi one? we had one and the letters and numbers started going and we ended up having to replace it, and we went back to the trusted corded keyboard and mouse:DWeight Loss - 102lb0

The 30 day MBG is only if you have changed your mind about a product and wish to return it for a refund. If an item is faulty then you have 1 year (in some cases more) to take it back to the store for a repair, replacement or refund.0

Cordless ones are fine for £10 i wouldnt expect too much , but if you can afford £30 you can get a Logitech Laser set from Dell, im been using Logitech cordless ones for years and they all work without problems.

Argos is great, I've taken so much back with no problems.
The best one was when my daughter bought a 'greenhouse' thing for £20 which was so badly designed it just fell over.
Nothing wrong with the manufacture per se, it was just naff, not fit for purpose.
I do wonder what they do with the house number and postcode they keep taking, one day they may refuse?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0
