There have been no discount vouchers for ASDA for a long time now... plenty of "free p&p" vouchers though. It is worth spending 30 minutes putting an order into ASDA and then putting the same order into Tesco --- makes for interesting reading when comparing prices. I can never rely on "comparison" sites since they rarely pick out the best substitute item.
Matthews Norfolk Dinosaur Turkey Roll 100g
Tesco = 78p each... ASDA = 87p (or 2 for £1.50)... I need 2 per week.
Kids Banana's
Tesco = £1.19... ASDA = 90p
Loose Tomatoes (1Kg)
Tesco = £1.89... ASDA = £1.29
Meatballs In Gravy (Freys 410g tins)
Tesco = 52p... ASDA = 52p (or 3 for £1.50)... I need 2 per week.
Hovis Square Cut White
Tesco = £1.12... ASDA = £1.12 (or 3 for £2.50)... I need 3 per week.
The choice comes down to which store runs the best multi-save / promotions for products you will regularly purchase... for me ASDA always wins by a good fiver saving (for the products I need [not want!]). Mad About Bargains is always handy to check. I only use Tesco if there is a points offer... the points used towards club-card deals are usually worth more than the fiver saving.
Remember, BOGOF and 241 etc all come off *AFTER* any spend necessary for "free p&p" --- I always buy ~£60 worth of shopping each week and rarely pay over £43....0 -
Oh I wandered in hoping someone might have had a £10 off code
oh well, might have to go elsewhere, will see how much it comes to using another shop.
One day I might be more organised...........

Asda have been pretty disappointing with codes this christmas and for a long time this year, apart from the free delivery ones. I have done all my christmas shopping for weeks now with tescos just because of the bigger codes. They have probably lost quite a bit of custome because of this.Thanx

ASDA home delivery was half and hour late today, brought me two useless substitutes (hence, I am two meals short this week), a bag of shopping soaked in rinse aid, two items that were use by today and plenty short dates and one missing item. It was the rinse aid that bothered me most. Rinse Aid is one of the most toxic household detergents people commonly have in there kitchen cupboards, containing traces of mercury-based compound. I don't know whether it is just me, by the ASDA own brand bottle leaks. They recently re-designed the bottle, that leaks too!
Three calls to the helpline later, I thought the matter was resolved, that my card would be credited, and finally went out (I had been waiting hours). Upon my return I found a note saying that ASDA had called to re-delivery the one missing item (costing 99p). I live 12 miles from the store. That's just plain daft. TD.0 -
Did you move to Chester then? And your shopping is still dreadful? My shopping from Eastlands has been almost faultless just recently - but I do know that they know me by name now after all the complaining I had to do and they check my orders VERY carefully.
Remember my credit card problem a while back? When I phoned to tell them that they had credited my card with nearly £1000 they were so grateful that I had owned up that they gave me £50 of it to keep. The bloke I spoke to said that this happens a lot but not many people tell them!!0 -
