BEST FF add-on

If you are a firefox user, then you will be aware that your tab list which runs along the top, takes only about a dozen sites as the logo and brief description occupies that space, but with a little add-on, all text is removed, leaving just the icons/logo's. Consequently up to 40 sites can be stored here and when you run your curser over each one, the full url appears. This is it:-

Can't you achieve the same result by simply right-clicking on the little icon, then simply choosing Properties, delete the 'Name' field and it leaves just the icon. Not much need for another add-on surely? It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0

Me too.
Simply zap the name.0 -
Yeah - that does seem un-necessary. Surely the best add-on has to be NoScript:

tabmixplus has multirow tabs and options to open new tabs from bookmarks, address bar etc. , zoomfox to get a better view of small images, foxmarks so you never lose your bookmarks again, adblock + filterset g so you rarely see any advertsUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

Why would one want 40 sites open at the same time?
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0 -
Why would one want 40 sites open at the same time?

lots of reasons, i monitor around half a dozen forums (mod on one) i have each open as my 'homepages' then anything i want to look at i open in a new tab, working through the forums, then i read the tabs, closing as necessary, leaving the originals, i often have 50+ tabs open at once, often threads i'm reading will lead to new tabs being opened as i check the links.
what i could do with is a kind of auto-f5 (refresh) for the first set, save me doing them individually.
the only downside (i find) is that sometimes i reply to a post thats 20 minutes old, and someone has already given the same reply.Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
Best latest FF mod 4 me - Nosquint - resize each site's fonts to be just right to read on a hi-res monitor, and remebers it when you return.0

NoScript is ok but has a whole regarding cross site scripting. The author of Adblock plus outlines it on his blog in a discussion with the author of NoScript.
It's also quite annoying as it takes time to train.
Adblock Plus and Firebug are the best two extensions in my opinion. Oh and GreaseMonkey if you use scripts."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
