I have a question!!
Im due a £10 voucher from pigsback in the post, as does boyf, so ill have £20 of vouchers. Thinking I should get a slowcooker with it, I went and had an online browse, and found that the only really useful place to spend them would be woolies - they have This .
Its a 3l - is this going to be big enough or is it really tiny? There is only me and boyf, but I would like to batch cook and freeze half or so.
Worth it or not?

Argos do a 3 litre slow cooker for £11.49 here:
I've got a 4.5 litre which is plenty big enough for a family of three, I cook double and freeze half and the cooker is still barely half full! 3 litres might be enough for just the two of you, but are you likely to use it for family gatherings or dinner parties? In that case you might find you need a bigger one. Remember you can cook a small meal in a large cooker but not the other way round. If I need to cook a smaller meal I put it in a pyrex dish inside the slow cooker.
What I did was to measure the capacity of my favourite casserole dish and discovered it held 3 litres full to the brim, that helped me visualise how big a slow cooker would be.
edit: I did a short link, go me!0 -
