applying onlnie for funding

I've decided to start the ball rolling to apply for my finance for uni as the guidence people at my uni seem to be slow at helping. They're going to come in and talk to us but not for a while yet and I'm eager to start.

I've googled my LEA and found the right page I THINK.. and that's why I'm posting this thread because I'm a little worried I'm on the wrong web page and I'm actually signing up to some dodgy loan shark ( Sorry I am a drama queen) can anyone whos applied online send me a link or some advice so I know I'm on the right path
Thank you in advance
SL

  • Hi,

I think this is probably the best starting place for you if you're in England:

  • I'm having problems applying on the web site provided. I've registered my details but can't seem to get passed the first few question

It's got something to do with the answers I'm providing when it comes to the 2 questions which asks about teacher training??????????? it keeps telling me this kind of application is not for me.
Can anyone please tell me where I'm going wrong
I'm not doing a teacher degree ( I'm doing Social work) but I obviously putting the wrong answers in.
I'm sorry if this is a dumb post, maybe it's because it's late, or maybe cos I AM being dumb but I'd appreciate it if anyone could help :D

  • I'm not really sure what you're doing wrong. Has it asked for your course code? Maybe you put that in wrong. Otherwise I suggest going back and reading the questions again more carefully. Not really sure.
  • It didn't ask for my course code. Just went straight in there with questions about if I had lived outside the UK, if I was doing Open Uni and if I was applying for a child or partner.

I've tried it several times but still got the same, re read the info boxes too!
Ah well thanks for your help anyway. will try again tomorrow see if fresh eyes makes the question more clearer

    Thanks again
