I always do have a "Hello.... Regards", its worth bearing in mind that some people do use Ebay on a mobile phone and its easier to use shorter and abbreviated messages.

No excuse for the rude ones though!

    "Where's my stuff", etc

Never had a job in a shop then? I have :D Imagine having to deal with rude, miserable sods all day long! Cut the assistant some slack and give her a please and a smile ;)

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

I tended to be over-friendly when I contacted sellers. :D I signed off with my own name, too

I blushed when sellers began publishing the questions received from people like me, :o and the answers. And there was my name for everyone to see! :o It put me off being anything but business-like.

So now it's a case of saying 'Hi. Please can you tell the length from waist to hem?' and leaving it at that. No name, no nuffink.

Pity really. I can understand the need for openess in dealings between sellers and buyers. I can see the reasons why sellers publish my communication with them. It just makes me feel more reticent about being myself.
