Hi all,
I have my stooze money in Halifax's web saver account where I earn 3.92% (after tax at 20%). This seems to one of the best rates.
I have an Abbey postal ISA 1 which pays 5.35%, and I thought i would put my stooze money in there.
I know the rules about deposits totalling £3k, but thats ok as I won't fill an ISA with my own money, I have my emergency fund and the rest goes on overpaying the mortgage.
But now I think that as the ISA is postal, it is too risky - although I can instruct a payment direct to my bank account, the instruction could go astray in the post and I would be screwed!
I know the chances of it going wrong are small, but it happens.
Do people agree that it is too risky? It would be awful to stooze for a year then blow it in fines.

Hi
I would always go for a savings/ISA account I could control over the net, especially for stoozing.
I do all my banking online and just couldn't be bothered with an account that was branch or postal only.
You'd need to be more organised to do it, but up to you, really.
Might be worth checking the Savings/ISA's board - there are a few other ISAs about on comparable rates and some of the experts in there may be able to advise better?
HTH:DIf it was easy, everyone would do it!0
