Proline/Beko makes - any good?

Hi all,
I have been looking for a new DW to replace (not so) old Bosch.
Went to Comet today & quite liked the Proline DWF1250P & the Beko DWD5410. Both looked good value & appear to have all necessary bells & whistles. Proline £180, Beko £220. My question is - does anyone have experience of these makes?
Are they rubbish or reasonable value for money, does anyone know if they are made by a "name" but rebadged??

Thanks for any info

Love Suzi xx

    Hi Suzi

We got a Beko fridge and freezer when we moved in to our house in 93 and only got rid of them a couple of years ago 'cos we had a new kitchen/extension. They did us remarkably well over that time for what was then the cheapest in the shop.

I would certainly buy Beko again

We've had a beko cooker for the last 5 years and it's great, I've never had a problem with it apart from last year when we had to replace the element for the oven. We've just bought a new cooker and we're only replacing it because we're installing a new kitchen with integrated units but the cooker is going to a new home where hopefully it will continue to last much longer.

Beko is a genuine brand and I would give it a whirl if it were cheap enough.

Proline is Comet's own-brand and could be repackaged-anything. In my experience it's cheap and nasty - best avoided.

    Hope this helps.

  • Thank you for all your kind replies, I thought that I had heard that Beko was ok, but nice to be reassured, will now trawl shop bots for most amazing deal I can find!!
