JB I agree with Seaxwyn to keep the cards open..MBNA type ones always offer repeat 0% deals when they haven't been used for a while.I would persevere with the cards. Also loans usually say typical per cent and then offer you them at a higher rate.

  • Right! Just applied for a 14month 0% card with Barclaycard, will see what the postman brings.

DH is in massive bad books though, reminded him to set up DD for Virgin and pay it on Weds - needless to say he has done !!!!!! all  As far as I'm aware making a late payment means we will lose our 0% deal - but Dh has specific instructions to ring up and grovel or face my wrath - watch this space

  • It's such a good job DH isn't here. Put DS to bed to find that he'd had an accident last night and DH hadn't realised....or had he? It really isn't his day today.....

He is so laid back about it and got all defensive "what, why is it my fault" Have set up DD online now - frankly may as well do it myself, but have read a few other threads and if you are late with a payment, sometimes they reinstate the deal after grovelling. He even suggested I rang up pretending to be him to do it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: yeah, I have such a deep voice

Finally got DS in bed, he's now got an upset stomach and DD has just shown me a letter from School saying there is a teacher's strike on Thursday  looks like I'll be throwing a few sickies.

I have just sat down and ate loads instead - aarrrggghhhhhh - and I'm hormonal

Aww hugs JB xx Hope your week improves! All the lecturers where I work are on strike on Thursday and there's posters up everywhere telling the students that the place is 'closed' but us lowly admin staff still have to go in - hmmph!
