    May 2013 new beginnings:j
  • Morning all :D

Had a good day yesterday, was a spend day but in a good way. DD is in desperate need for a new chest of drawers, as hers from Ikea are collapsing in a spectacular way. So I trundled off to the local furniture project and bought a very old traditional chest of drawers for the huge amount of.........................£10:eek:   Then got some paint remover and going to take the mahogancy varnish off today and hey presto beautiful, restored chest of drawers for total cost of £16:j

Went to the Co-Op just before tea (big mistake) and ended up spending £20 on rubbish, why oh why do I do that?

Got a few things to do today before Sunday but hopefully cost will be a minimum. Spoke to DH last night and now been told we won't be notified of bonus or payrise until mid May now  frustrating as we were hoping to clear the hotel bill off a CC with the bonus, but I guess patience is a virtue!

Just want us to get paid so I can bring Tescos CC back into line, and amend my signature, soooo frustrating - one more day!!!

Have a good day everyone :D

  • Bottom! Just checked Virgin and interest rate changed and charged £12 late fee - we were one day late  Going to get DH to ring up when he gets back tomorrow night to sort out his little mess out otherwise it's another BT? Hopefully if he threatens to BT the money elsewhere they may reconsider. Men

Hellooo and well done on the DIY! Strangely enough I've got an Ikea chest of drawers which have collapsed as well!!

Hope you get Virgin thing sorted! x

OMG, have they stopped the 0% rate? I'd better set up a direct debit for mine right away.

Afraid so, just because payment was one day late, but I guess that's part of the terms and conditions  Have got DD's set up for everything now but DH is in big trouble until he sorts his little mess out!

Don't think Ikea is made for lasting. Pretty pleased with my purchase but want to get it looking all pretty before DH gets back and starts prodding it to check it for lastability!
