Spent all morning between packing and stripping chest of drawers which is looking fabby and a bargain.

DH going to ring Virgin today (when he gets round to it  ) and try and talk them round, so fingers crossed on that front still.

    have a wonderful time
  • Hi everyone,

Well I can definately recommend my little jaunt for DFW purposes, so far have spent the pricely sum of 12.50 in three days :j Am beng fed, watered (with wine :D ), kids are happy like pig in poo ( ) and am so relaxed. We are doing the most inexpensive things possible, i.e. packed lunches or hanging around at home to have lunch and then going to the beach. There are no stupid toy machines either :j

Am going out tonight with my friend but just for drinks, although I am going to treat her and OH to a meal the day we leave as they are so hospitable and won't accept any money off us.

It is lovely to leave debt busting if only for a week, but will be back on board next week........maybe............if I can be bothered to come back that is....................

:hello: back to the land of the living and reality :(

Am soooo not wanting to be in work, especially when it's sunny outside as well! Had a brilliant time, a really good rest and was still very canny with money so felt quite proud of myself when I got home as no money from bank touched :j

Good news on Virgin cc, DH rang them and they reverted back to 0% offer and DD has been set up. DH was refused Barclaycard on basis he had too much credit  but bizarrely within the same day's post I was sent a letter re an old card I had with them and I am in the process of transferring the MBNA balance to my Barclaycard with a 6.9% LOB which I am really really pleased about. Am also going to include the overdraft(s) on this transfer so will update the signature later. But, this means no more BT until November so I can breathe easily for a while and hopefully the credit crunch will have calmed a little by then as well.

Whilst I was away decided I would make a concerted effort with possibly matched betting and bingo to make some extras up, got a widgy bit of weight to lose and need to start running again as not done any since my knee has been dodgy, so going out tonight with friend for half an hour.

So I start the week with no money in purse and no cash cards, lunch in fridge and money and weight diet on mind. Also going to look into changing gas and electricity suppliers this week. With BG for both and £107 went out this month   Tumble drier has been banned and we are seeking out jumpers in future instead of heating, really need to get that bill down!

Off to have a nosey around, and then I might actually start to do some work
