This time I decided to go fully comp.
I have the debate every year because my car is very old and worth very little. Even a minor accident will result in a write-off and a small amount of cash in hand. It's also quite possible it will give up the ghost during the next 12 months.

I decided to stick with it because my insurance is very cheap (8 years NCB) and I'm not badly off so I decided not to reduce the cover.

However I did dump the NCB protection after working out that the premium was more than the cost of the loss of NCB !!

I was not impressed with morethan whose call centre staff could only read out the information I already have and can read for myself.
I stuck with my current company (Esure) who are totally transparent about their cancellation costs and how much NCB you lose after each accident.
I have not had to use them for a claim though and that's usually when you find out how good they are.
