Daughter is moving to her own house . The seller is leaving a medium pine wardrobe and chest of drawers. However she really wanted lighter coloured furniture, so I offerred to paint them for her. Any tips on this? Whats the best way to prepare the wood, & the best finish to use? :j

Indoor satinwood range is nice, make sure you sand off any varnish first, paint does not like sticking to some varnishes.

Pop into B&Q and pick up a leaflet on painting surfaces (I can't remember what the name of it was, but it is in the painting aisle and in with the coloured paints.
Sorry I can't remember the name of the leaflet, but it is the one that includes cupboard doors, PVC windows etc. It basically deals with how to best cover surfaces in your house that aren't walls!
Alternatively look on this website, I have used this company's tile paint and radiator paint before and they work incredibly well, can can recommend the company! http://www.international-paints.co.uk/ideas.php0
