  • Postpone going on any holiday until you've cleared your debts.

I agree. Will you be able to have a good time on holiday knowing that you've upped your debts to pay for it? I wouldn't be able to, and I wouldn't want to borrow money for spending money from my parents either, as holidays aren't essential. Heck, I haven't had a holiday ever!!!

I disagree - a great holiday at an even better price is a good way of treating yourself after a long time paying back debts. If everythings's under control and you're happy to add a few more months to your DFD (by not using the bonus to pay off debts) then go for it and enjoy yourself - you've earnt it!

Since splitting with my ex, I have taken on my house on my own. I'm getting used to having a lot less money, and have £250 left a month, which is fine. I am looking into getting a Saturday job, just for a bit of extra cash.
My neighbour has kindly offered to add me on to her holiday (to the dominican) in June, for less than £600 for 2 weeks 24hr all inc. 5star etc etc.
I am sue a bonus from work in the next few months which SHOULD be around the £1200 mark. BUT the holiday needs to be paid for in the next couple of weeks.
DO I credit card it and then pay off the card when I get my bonus? OR be sensible and not go?! and then cry when I have to watch my neighbour go!! ha ha
My parents said they would help out with spending money etc so I wouldnt have to worry about that too much, and I thought I could make some money for it ebaying if need be.

We went to the Dominican last year, and I can promise you, GO

It is amazing, beautiful and the people so friendly.

All inclusive means exactly that, you will not spend a single penny if you don't want to!

Honestly, book the holiday, pack your bags, then pay it off, and recharge your batteries.

    You won't regret it
