Does the label just say M and S red wine?
Even if you dont drink red they could be useful for tombola/raffle prizes (yes we are now in the run up to Christmas), thank you pressies etc

What kind of wine (and from what country) is it?There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Hi - I bought a couple of the red today which are nomally £2.99 each so don't expect something too amazing. Details:
Domaine St Pierre - Vin de -pays de L'Herault - 2004
Medium bodied, 12 %. Light & smooth suitable for sausages, chops, steak frites, pizza and mild cheeses.
Blend of local varieties such as Grenache and Syrah.0 -

I've just joined this forum (my first ever), purely on the grounds that you have tombolas where you are! How old school and splendid. If there are any tombolas coming up in the Norwich area soon, please advertise them. We need to bring them back... And Bring and Buy sales... Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?0 -
Yes tombolas are alive and well, at least in my bit of Cheshire.
We have a very successful bottle tombola. Everyone is asked if they can bring a bottle, anything from tom sauce, tabasco sauce, bog standard pop to posh champagne. These donations are topped up with bog standard lemonade for 15p (or whatever). Everyone who has a go for 50p (or £1) wins a bottle of lemonade. Everyone who gets a number ending in 5 gets something better, tom sauce, bottle of beer etc. Everyone who gets a number ending in a 0 gets the best stuff, wine, champers, perfume etc.
Brilliant fund raiser because all the kids go away with something LOL

I cannot say how much they 'really' cost, but going on the offers in Sainsbury's latest flyer, they are offering Stowells red and white that was £6.99 for £3.49 and also a white 'Lasserre du Haut Cotes de Gascogne' reduced from £5.99 to £3.49.
Not sure if they are worth it but the discount is bigger, assuming they ever sold the stuff at the higher price. I'm always a bit wary of these 'WAS' prices. :think:0
