Thanks for all the help, meeting did not take place as the Manager who is dealing with it has gone on the sick so I'm not sure whats going to happen next!0

Just a quick update....The Manager never came back to work and has been replaced.
His replacement has not mentioned it, nor has anyone else:beer:nearly 4 months now so I live in hope.0 -
No one ever mentioned the overpayment, so I put it into a savings account plus an extra £25 pw. Thinking if they ever asked for it I would just give it to them. Retired 4 months ago and it's paying for a nice cruise.:D0

lol fair play to you Sir !0

Sounds fair enough. When I left my last company, they messed up my final pay packet and over paid me - only by about £150 - but apparently the lady who does the payroll was in a right state as she had no way of forcing me to pay the money back - I guess normally, they'd just reclaim it out of your next pay packet. I was asked rather nicely if I would pay them back - which I did as I didn't want to leave on "bad terms" as you never know who you'll run into again - but I got the distinct impression that if I'd wanted to, I could have refused to pay it back and could have just kept it.My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.
