Hi, on a similar note I've read that some people thank a post to subscribe to the thread. My thanked posts aren't added to my subscription list, am I doing something wrong? It'd be a useful way of 'bookmarking' useful posts :)

Never known it to do that. Certainly doesn't do it for me. If I want to subscribe to a thread I haven't posted in then I just select thread tools at the top of the thread and "subscribe to this thread".

Maybe I was mistaken then, thanks for the 'thread tools' tip that'll almost do what I want :)

I know that on Competitions Time people use the thanks button to keep a track of which competitions they have entered.

If they've thanked the person who posted the completion then they can see at a later date that they've already entered that one.

So perhaps that is what you saw/read?

Yeah, "back in the day" you could search for your thanked posts but that function disappeared long ago.

It only appears if the post you look on has actually been thanked.....I think....Thats why it's sometimes there and sometimes not....
