i have a question and please excuse me if its a silly one.
i have received my renewal for my car insurance and my premium has doubled bar 70p a month! also i had a claim last year which was not my fault and the other driver accepted full liability. even though it wasn't my fault does it still have an impact on my premium?? another thing is my no claims, i'm very easily confused so please bare with me
i was disqualified jan 2003 -jan 2004
april 2004 i got a car and insured it, i had my first accident nov 2007 which as i've said was not my fault. as it was no protected do i lose a year and does this mean i am now back to 1 years NCD or 2??
what with cash ISA's an car insurance running round my head i swear i'm going bald :rotfl:
please help
thanks

I *think* that any claim regardless of fault does impact on your premium. But shop around, you might be surprised.
Also it should state on your renewal notice how many years NCD you have/are entitled to. You will need to keep this letter incase your new insurer (assuming you are changing co's) asks for proof of NCD (which they usually do):heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
i'm currently with the post office and i've just done a 'new' quote with them and its only £20 dearer than last years.. i dont geddit lmao
i shall definately have a shop around an see what i can find when i dont have a headache.

If you had an accident that wasn't your fault then it should make no difference to your policy, providing your insurer has got all their costs back from the other party.0
