You'd pay the normal Test Fee, which I think is around £42

If its the twin cam ecotec engined one (especially the red top) its quite a sought after engine in the classic ford modification scene and you may get more Ebaying it.

Until you get a Pass cert in your hand most places wont charge you. So if it fails miserably on 101 things then a trip to the scrappie/ebay is your best bet...

    Huh?

You have to pay for the test whether it passes or not. MOT stations vary cost wise.

If you're going to scrap it - why go for the test? Seems pointless.

i think he means if it will cost to much to get it through its next mot then he will scrap it,if it wont cost too much he will put an MOT on it and sell it with 12 months MOT on it,which means he will get more than just scrap value.

the car could be put through a pre MOT inspection which would cost around £20,but then if its worth putting through an MOT you then need to pay for MOT and pre MOT.
i would take it for an MOT and cross my fingers.
