So you really have a Touch and not an iPhone? If so, your cost for wi-fi could be £0 if you just use wi-fi in the home or maybe £10/month with a contract to hot-spot provider like The Cloud.0 -
What amcluesent posted is (as far as I am aware) correct - the iPod Touch uses any available WiFi signal to connect to the internet, so if you have broadband at home and have a wireless router, you should be able to cnnect there; if out and about, if there is a WiFi hotspot nearby, your iPod should hook onto that. If it is a free WiFi hotspot, then you won't pay a penny (Starbucks are good apparently, and McDonalds if equipped in your area!); if it's a chargable hotspot then you'll have to pay whatever the service provider charges.

there are so many free hotspots about these days. Get surfing for free!!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

The iPod touch only uses Wifi. As a result, it wont cost you anything. Just connect to your home Wifi and it will act exactly as your laptop/desktop does. When you're out and about, you might be able to connect to hotspots such as The Cloud Wifi, but they will more then likely ask you for a credit/debit card as they charge you a fee.0
