ventilation for boiler?

my nan is currently having some work done on her house, and has recently had new wooden interiors doors fitted throughout.
the workman has replaced the louvre door of the airing cupboard, which houses the boiler, with a solid wood door. i noticed that it didnt have a vent in it at all, and wondered if that was ok? i was under the impression that a boiler ought to be ventilated, but by my own admission i am no expert on these things.
the boiler is around 18 months old, as it was replaced when GCH was fitted to the house. it is also on an exterior wall, so im not sure if that makes a difference?
can anyone offer any advice or insight into whether an unvented door is ok?

Hi
As the boiler is 18 months old I would hope that the boiler is a condensing one. It should not need compartment ventilation. You should check the manufacturers instructions for absolute certainty .( you'll find the info in the first few pages.)If you don't have them go to the manufacturers web site and find them there.

I would think that as quite recent it would have a balanced flue meaning that it draws in air from outside therefore not needing a vented door BUT get professional adviceDave0
