Trying to watch something on MTV site, laptop slow?

This is drving me mad and I thought the people to ask would be on here.

I am trying to watch an old episode of something on the MTV website on my laptop but my its driving me mad. It plays for a few seconds then stops for a few seconds then continues in that way all through.

Is there something I can do to my laptop to watch it properly?

That's generally a problem with your inet connection rather than the laptop. If you have other machines on the network and they work fine then it's a problem between the router and the laptop.

I'm not familiar with MTV's streaming, but on Youtube you can pause it, let it buffer, then come back and watch it once it's buffered.
